Naturally, the type of instrument a client trades with you is highly relevant to the level of risk they pose. This, among others, as risky instruments can, to a larger extent, badly impact a business relationship.
As clients may trade more than one instrument with you, you can choose to give this sub-parameter a final score equal to the average score of these various instruments; according to the minimal of maximal score of these instruments, or according to the total of all of these scores.
Another option, in case you, for example, only deal with one specific instrument, is to ignore this parameter (as all your relationships are the same in that sense, and therefore incorporating it in the calculation will not help you differentiate between clients).
In order to configure the instrument type, simply press on “Instrument Type”, and a list similar to the below one will appear:
Here, simply change the weighting as you see fit, according to your policies and professional judgement. Remember, however, that many legal systems have a clear distinction between risky and non-risky instruments, so it will be advisable to maintain a similar rational.
