8.1. Proof of Identity Documents

A person can identify themselves using a variety of documents – passport, ID, driver's license etc.

The different documents used for this purpose may vary from country to country. Therefore, the Platform allows you to pre-configure which identity documents are acceptable by you in each country. These options will be presented to the client during the client journey.

This is how you get to the relevant screen:

As stated above, the screen that appears allows you to select from a list of proof of identity documents the ones you want to be presented to the client, as per their countries. Meaning, in this screen you can determine which documents will your clients be able to use in order to identify themselves, in each country.

As per the below screen, simply select a country; choose the client type (individual or corporate - for corporate, of course, this is relevant when performing IDV of their UBOs, directors and similar); how many documents are required (usually one is enough); and what documents will you accept per country.

If you don’t know what documents are acceptable in each country, please reach out to our support team, and we will supply you with a list of acceptable documents per country.

Note: “Other document” will NOT appear, even if you select it.
