3.1.What are Assessments

An assessment is the process of checking and verifying an applicant’s / client’s attributes, evaluating them, and weighing them against pre-set policies and guidelines. Generally speaking, the Platform performs three types of assessments:

  • mPASS™ assessments - these relate to regulatory parameters relevant mainly to our clients who operate in Capital Markets such as a client’s category (for example retail or professional) and the products one is allowed to trade with them.

  • mCHECK™ assessments - these cover parameters like Adverse Media, PEPs, Sanctions, ID verification, address verification, liveliness, and company information.

  • mRX™ assessments - these are assessments of the risk associated with onboarding a potential client.

There are also, of course, combined assessments, performed by two or three of the platform’s modules.

Assessments are the main function of the Platform – their subsequent reports form the basis of the firm’s decision whether or not to onboard the client, and therefore getting them right is highly important to the firm.
